ABOUT
Founded in 1906, Sandy Bay Rowing Club lies on the banks of Hobart's Derwent River – an exceptional training ground shared by many of the state’s leading rowing programs. Training along the city front, our club continues to champion the spirit and enduring tradition of the sport of Rowing.
With 100 members, spanning junior, senior and master athletes, our club fosters a culture of camaraderie, ambition, and development. Our rowers compete across the full spectrum of Tasmanian regattas, from state pennants to masters events, while our junior athletes wear their school colours as part of the school regatta program.
Across more than a century, the club’s legacy has been shaped by state and national success. Today, our facilities – including a well‑equipped boatshed, gym, erg room, and club rooms – support athletes in pursuing excellence on and off the water.
